You land tired after the flight and want to know which ride gets you to the hotel calmly.
IndonesiaQuest Editorial · Updated 20 October 2026
Lombok airport sits inland, so every transfer is a road trip of its own. Senggigi is about 55 km away and the drive takes about 1 hour 15 minutes, or 70 to 90 minutes in traffic [1]. Kuta Lombok is the closer base, so it is the gentler first night after a long flight.
This guide sits in our domestic access routes hub. If you have not chosen a base yet, compare Senggigi vs Kuta Lombok first.
What are your options from the terminal?
Four ways cover almost every arrival. The table gives the trade-offs for a family with luggage.

How does the airport taxi coupon work?
Pay at the Airport Taxi Service desk inside the terminal and carry the coupon to the taxi rank [3]. A surcharge of Rp 10,000 applies to Central Lombok destinations such as Kuta, and Rp 17,500 to other destinations [3]. A metered taxi to Senggigi costs roughly Rp 125,000 to 155,000 [2].
These numbers come from a travel guide, so treat them as a guide and check the desk price. Keep small notes ready, because change at night is harder to find.
