The Bali tourist levy: how to pay and check
You have booked the flights and now want to settle the levy without landing on a fake page.
IndonesiaQuest Editorial · Updated 20 October 2026
The Bali levy is paid on the official Love Bali portal, and the portal lists the international amount at IDR 150,000 [1]. Pay only there, keep the emailed voucher on your phone and check the current rules before you fly. This page walks through the form and the check.
If a page asks you for a method or an address that does not match what is described below, stop and read how to spot fake arrival-card sites.
What should you prepare first?
The form asks for your names as they appear on the passport, without accents, hyphens or other punctuation, plus your email, passport number, country and arrival date [4]. Have the passport open beside you and type each field carefully. A spelling slip is the commonest reason a voucher does not match.
Use an email address you can open on your phone, because the voucher goes there. Decide whether you pay as a single traveller or as a group, then collect every passport for the group.
How do you pay, step by step?
- Open the Love Bali portal from an official link.
- Choose Single or Group, then choose to pay the tourist levy.
- Fill in names, email, passport number, country and arrival date.
- Accept the terms and privacy policy, then submit.
- Check your details on the confirmation screen.
- Choose a payment method and complete the payment.
The portal shows bank transfer, virtual account and QRIS as payment methods [2]. The exchange rate fixed on the payment page applies, and your bank may add charges [1]. A Malaysian travelling in a family can pay as a group, so read the form for how to add members.
How do you check the voucher?
After payment, a QR code levy voucher is emailed to you, and the portal has Verify Voucher and Resend Voucher pages [3]. Save the voucher on your phone and, if you like, print a copy. Check that the name, passport number and arrival date match your travel documents.
If it does not arrive, look in your spam folder, wait a little and try the resend page. If you see a warning about an earlier transaction, close the browser and let the status update before you try again. Use the portal’s support link if the problem lasts.
Want a second pair of eyes on your plan?
If you are unsure whether your levy payment went through, send us what the portal shows. We can help you check the steps and pass your brief to a licensed agency if you would like help with the trip.
You get a reply from a person who reads your plan, plus a quote from a licensed Malaysian agency if you want one.How does the levy fit with your other entry steps?
The levy is one item on a longer list. The entry checklist for Malaysian passport holders places it among passport, ticket and arrival-declaration checks. The glossary entry on the Love Bali levy explains the term, and the note on levies and entry fees in your total cost shows how to budget for it.
For the destination itself, the Bali guide covers where to stay and how to plan the days.
What to ask an agency
If your package mentions the levy, ask in writing:
- Is the levy included in the quote, or paid by us separately?
- If you pay on our behalf, how do you store our passport details?
- Will the voucher be sent to us directly?
- What is the plan if the voucher does not arrive before the flight?
- Which official pages should we check before we fly?
So are you done?
You are done when the payment is confirmed, the voucher is in your email and saved on your phone and the details match your passport. Keep it with your other documents for arrival. Always check the Love Bali portal and the official immigration pages before you travel.

Questions Malaysians ask
How much is the Bali tourist levy?
The Love Bali portal lists the international levy at IDR 150,000, and the exchange rate fixed on the payment page applies. Your bank may add charges. Check the portal for the current amount before you pay, because the figure can change.
Where do I pay the levy?
Pay on the official Love Bali portal, and reach it from an official Bali government link rather than an advert. Look-alike pages exist. If a page asks for a method that the portal does not show, close it and start again from the official address.
What do I need to fill in the form?
Prepare your given names and last name exactly as on your passport, with no accents or punctuation, plus your email, passport number, country and arrival date. Use an email address you can open, because the voucher is sent there.
My voucher has not arrived. What should I do?
Check your spam folder, wait a little and try the Resend Voucher page on the portal. If it still does not arrive, use the support link on the portal. Do not pay a second time before you have checked the status, because the system may be updating.
Can my agency pay the levy for me?
Some packages include help with the levy. Ask what the agency does, whether a fee applies and how your passport details are stored. You can always pay yourself on the official portal and keep the voucher on your phone.
