What happens after you WhatsApp us
You are about to send a first message and wonder what comes back.
IndonesiaQuest Editorial · Updated 20 October 2026
After you send a WhatsApp message, the IndonesiaQuest team reads your brief, asks any missing questions and, if you wish, passes it to a licensed Malaysian travel agency. The agency prepares a written quote that you review at your own pace. This page walks through each step so the first message feels easy.
It is part of our wider booking and responsibility guide.
What do we do with your first message?
We read it and reply with a few questions. These cover your dates, the people travelling, the places you have in mind and any needs that shape the route, such as halal food or a grandparent who tires quickly.
You do not need a finished plan. A rough idea is enough, and the conversation fills in the rest. If you want to arrive better prepared, what to send for an Indonesia private-tour quote has a list you can copy.
How does your brief reach an agency?
When your brief is clear, and you agree, we pass it to a licensed Malaysian travel agency. IndonesiaQuest is a planning guide and referral service, not the seller, so the agency prepares and issues the quote. The how referrals work page explains the arrangement in full.
You can check the agency’s licence yourself using the steps in how to check a Malaysian travel agency licence.
Want a second pair of eyes on your plan?
If you have been reading and still hesitate to send a message, a short one is enough: your dates, your party and where you would like to go. We take it from there.
You get a reply from a person who reads your plan, plus a quote from a licensed Malaysian agency if you want one. What do you receive back?
You receive a written quote from the agency. A useful quote names the dates, hotels, transfers, meals, entrance fees, inclusions and exclusions, along with the payment schedule and change terms.
Read it slowly, compare it against your brief and raise questions in the same chat. The package inclusion comparator is handy when you hold more than one quote.
When do you pay?
Payment is between you and the agency, under the terms in its quote. Before you transfer a deposit, go through questions to ask an agency before paying a deposit and check that the account name matches the agency on the quote.
Take your time. A quote can be revised, questioned or declined, and none of those choices closes the conversation.
What if your plans change?
Tell us. Dates move, children fall ill and budgets shift. We can help you adjust the brief, and the agency can revise the quote within its stated terms.
Keep the conversation in one WhatsApp thread so every question and answer stays in order. If a family member joins the trip late, share the thread with them so everyone reads the same details. Screenshots of the final quote and payment receipt belong in a folder you can find quickly.
A short first message is the best way to begin.
You can begin with one sentence about dates and who is coming, and that is enough for us to start asking questions. If you are still comparing destinations, say so in the first message, and we can show how travel time, pace and budget differ before you settle on one route.

Questions Malaysians ask
Does messaging IndonesiaQuest commit me to anything?
A message is a conversation, not a booking. You decide whether to continue after reading the quote the agency sends. Payment happens only with the agency, under the terms written in its quote.
Who will reply to my message?
The IndonesiaQuest team reads your first message, asks follow-up questions and helps shape your brief. A licensed agency then prepares the quote, and you deal with that agency for payment.
What information should I send first?
Send your dates, who is travelling with ages, where you want to go, your pace, food needs and a budget range in ringgit. Even partial details help, and we ask for the rest as the conversation goes.
How does IndonesiaQuest earn from this?
IndonesiaQuest works on a referral basis with licensed agencies. The footer discloses this and the how-referrals-work page explains it. The arrangement is separate from what your quote lists.
Entry rules, ferry times and prices change. Check the official source or your licensed agency before you book.
