Package inclusion comparator
Two quotes look alike, yet one leaves out the driver, the meals or the entry tickets.
IndonesiaQuest Editorial · Updated 20 October 2026
The comparator puts your quotes side by side, one row per item, so you can see what each package covers and what it leaves to you. Its main idea is simple: a blank is not a zero. If a quote does not mention airport transfers, the tool shows unknown, and that is your cue to ask.
Use it after you have two or more quotes in hand. If you are still choosing a destination, start with the region chooser first.
What does the comparator actually do?
It lists the parts of an Indonesia trip where quotes differ most. These include hotel or villa, private driver and vehicle, airport transfers, sightseeing tickets, meals, the tourist levy, flights from Malaysia, insurance and tips.
For each quote, you mark a row as included, excluded or unknown. The result shows the matrix side by side, with unknown rows highlighted so they do not hide inside a headline price.
How should you read the result?
Read it row by row, not by total. Two quotes can be close in ringgit and far apart in what you receive.
Look first at the unknown rows. Every unknown is a question for the agency, and the answer can move the price either way. Then look at the excluded rows, and ask who pays for them and when.
Focus on the rows that matter to your group.
A family with grandparents may care most about driver hours and vehicle size. A Muslim traveller may care most about how meals are handled, so ask the agency for a meal-by-meal list. Look for the halal logo of BPJPH (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal), Indonesia’s halal agency.
Package inclusion comparator
Compare up to 3 packages on the same party and dates. Unknown is not the same as not included: it means you still need to ask.

Want a second pair of eyes on your plan?
If two quotes still look hard to compare, send them over with your dates and party. We will take a second look and can pass your brief to a licensed agency to fill the gaps.
You get a reply from a person who reads your plan, plus a quote from a licensed Malaysian agency if you want one. What assumptions sit behind it?
The tool compares only what you type in. It does not know whether a quote is accurate, and it does not check any supplier. It also has no live prices.
Two quotes are comparable only when the dates, party size and room setup match. If one quote is for four nights and the other for five, adjust the row before drawing a conclusion.
For Bali, the tourist levy is paid on the official portal and is sometimes excluded from packages, so confirm who pays it. Read the Bali package price guide for what sits in each row.
What should you do after comparing?
Send the unknown rows back to the agency as questions and ask for the answers in writing. Update the matrix, then compare again.
If you want to see the cost structure in ringgit for your party, use the trip cost calculator. If your quotes involve a base area, our accommodation areas guide helps you judge whether the hotel location fits your group.

Questions Malaysians ask
Why compare inclusions before prices?
A lower price can mean fewer rows are covered. Once you line up what each quote includes, the real gap is clearer, and you can ask the agency to price the missing items instead of guessing.
What does unknown mean in the result?
Unknown means the quote does not say. It is not a yes and not a zero. Ask the agency to confirm that row in writing, then update the comparison.
Can I compare a villa package with a hotel package?
Yes, as long as the rows match. Compare room count, breakfast, driver hours and transfers the same way, and note anything one quote includes that the other leaves to you.
Does the tool tell me which quote is best?
It shows what is covered and what is missing. The choice stays with you, because your group, dates and priorities decide which gaps matter.
Entry rules, ferry times and prices change. Check the official source or your licensed agency before you book.
