Bali package price: what is included
You have a Bali quote in ringgit and cannot tell what the figure actually buys.
IndonesiaQuest Editorial · Updated 20 October 2026
A Bali package price is a bundle of rows, and each agency bundles different rows. The same ringgit figure can mean a hotel and daily driver in one quote, and only the hotel in another. This guide lists the rows so you can read any quote line by line, using the budgets and package decisions hub as the wider map.
We publish no fixed prices because they depend on dates, party size and season. What follows is a cost structure, not a price list.
What rows make up a Bali package?
Most Bali packages combine the same building blocks. Some sit inside the price, some outside, and some are left unpriced until you choose.
| Row | In the price? | Ask the agency |
|---|---|---|
| Hotel or villa | Normally | Room count, bed types, breakfast, resort fee |
| Private driver and vehicle | If the quote says so | Hours per day, fuel, parking, overtime |
| Airport transfers | A separate line in some quotes | Waiting time after a late landing |
| Sightseeing tickets | Varies by agency | Which attractions, which fees |
| Meals | Breakfast with the room | Halal handling, children’s portions |
| Tourist levy | Varies by agency | Who pays, and when |
| Flights from Malaysia | Only in air-inclusive packages | Baggage, airport tax, times |
| Insurance and tips | Left for you | What you arrange yourself |
Use the table as a checklist when a quote arrives. Any row you cannot place is a question for the agency.
Is the hotel the biggest row?
Accommodation is the largest single line, so the standard you choose moves the total more than any other decision. A villa with a private pool and a three-star hotel near Sanur are different products. Compare quotes that name the same standard.
Ask whether breakfast is for every guest, how children are counted, and whether any resort or service charge sits on top. The glossary entry on service charge and pajak explains the add-ons that appear at the hotel desk.
How should you read the driver row?
A private driver is priced by the day, with a set number of hours. The quote should name the vehicle size, whether fuel and parking are inside, and what happens after the daily hours end. Our guide on what a private Bali driver package includes goes through each point.
If the quote shows only “transport”, ask whether that means airport transfers, a daily driver or both. Those are separate products.
What about tickets, meals and the levy?
Entry tickets differ by attraction, and agencies handle them in two ways: listed as included, or left for you to pay at the gate. Ask for the list so you can budget for the second kind.
Meals are normally breakfast with the room. Muslim travellers should ask for a meal-by-meal list instead of a general promise, and look for the BPJPH halal logo, the Indonesian halal agency’s label, when eating out.
Bali also asks international visitors to pay a tourist levy of IDR 150,000 on the official portal [1]. The portal accepts bank transfer, virtual account and QRIS, and emails a QR voucher after payment [2]. Our Love Bali levy glossary entry explains the steps, and the levy and entry fees guide shows where it fits in your total.
Want a second pair of eyes on your plan?
If your quote has rows you cannot read, send it over with your dates and party. We will mark which rows look included, excluded or unpriced, and can pass the brief to a licensed agency.
You get a reply from a person who reads your plan, plus a quote from a licensed Malaysian agency if you want one.Are flights inside the price?
Only in an air-inclusive package. A land-only price starts when you land and ends at departure. Our comparison of air-inclusive and land-only packages shows who each option suits.
Whichever you choose, ask for the flight times in writing. A late landing changes the first-night plan and the driver’s waiting time.
Which costs stay unpriced?
Four groups of spending rarely appear in a package: tips, shopping, extra meals and insurance. Travel insurance is a choice you make yourself, and tips depend on the service you receive. Set a small personal budget for them in ringgit before you leave.
The trip cost calculator helps you see where these rows fall for your party size. It gives a planning view, and the agency confirms the final figures.
What should you ask before paying a deposit?
Send these questions with your enquiry, and keep the replies together with your confirmation.
- Which rows are included, excluded or unpriced?
- Is the price per person, per room or per vehicle?
- Are flights, baggage and airport taxes inside the figure?
- Which entry tickets are listed, and which are paid at the gate?
- Who pays the tourist levy, and when?
- What are the cancellation and date-change terms?
- What is the agency’s MOTAC licence number?
A licensed agency answers these in writing without delay. The MOTAC licence glossary entry explains how to check.
How do you keep the quote clear after booking?
Save the written list of inclusions with your confirmation, and share it with everyone travelling. When a driver or hotel offers an extra on the day, check it against the list before agreeing.
Children and grandparents need an easy first afternoon after the flight. Ask the agency to leave the first day light, so the quote reflects the pace your family can keep.
What happens after you WhatsApp us?
We read your brief, then, with your consent, pass it to a licensed Malaysian travel agency that prepares the quote. We are an independent guide, not the agency, and the referral is disclosed in our footer. Keep the reply for comparison, and ask the agency to confirm everything in writing.

Questions Malaysians ask
Does a Bali package price include flights from Malaysia?
Some do and some do not. A land-only price covers the hotel, driver and activities after you land. Ask the agency to say in writing whether flights, baggage and airport taxes sit inside the figure.
Are entry tickets part of the package?
It depends on the quote. Some agencies list each ticket as included, and others leave entry fees for you to pay at the gate. Ask for the list of attractions and a clear line for the fees.
Is the Bali tourist levy included in package prices?
Sometimes. The levy is paid on the official Love Bali portal, so ask who pays it and when. Keep the emailed QR voucher on your phone for checks.
Why does my quote show no meals beyond breakfast?
Most Bali quotes count breakfast with the room and leave other meals to you, because food choices vary by group. If you want lunches or dinners counted, ask for them as a separate row.
How do I know the quote is final?
Ask for a written confirmation of inclusions, exclusions, the quote currency and the cancellation terms. A quote that changes after the deposit needs a written reason.
