All Indonesia arrival card: what it is
You are packing for Indonesia and an airport form is the last thing on your mind.
IndonesiaQuest Editorial · Updated 20 October 2026
The All Indonesia arrival card is a single digital declaration for people entering Indonesia. It brings immigration, customs, health and quarantine questions into one form, completed on a web portal or a mobile app [1]. It is a declaration, not a visa.
How do Malaysians meet the card on a trip?
You meet it a few days before the flight, when airlines and travel sites start reminding you about entry steps. The form may be submitted up to three days before arrival [2]. Filing at home is calmer than filing in the immigration hall with a queue behind you.
After you submit, a QR code is generated for use at arrival processing [1]. Save a screenshot of it, because mobile signal can be patchy inside terminals.
What does the form ask?
It covers personal details, travel dates, transport and purpose of visit, and a set of declarations. Those declarations include health, quarantine for plants and animal products, and customs for goods above duty-free limits [1]. Keep your passport, flight number and first accommodation address handy while you fill it in.
Want a second pair of eyes on your plan?
If you are sorting entry steps for a family trip, send us your dates and who is travelling. We can give your checklist a second look and, with your consent, pass the brief to a licensed agency for a quote.
You get a reply from a person who reads your plan, plus a quote from a licensed Malaysian agency if you want one.Who files, and does it cost anything?
Each traveller, including children and infants, gets a separate QR code, although one adult can enter the details for the family [3]. The official portal is free, and third-party sites may add a fee you do not need to pay [3]. Our guide to spotting fake All Indonesia card sites shows what to look for.
Where does it fit in your entry checklist?
The card sits beside passport validity and your visa route. Run through the entry checklist for Malaysian passport holders and the wider departure planning hub before you fly. Rules can change, so check the official portal before you fly.
Heading to Bali? Visitors there also meet the Love Bali levy, which is a separate payment from this form.

Questions Malaysians ask
Is the All Indonesia arrival card the same as a visa?
No. The card is an entry declaration, while a visa or visa-on-arrival is permission to enter. Malaysians still need to confirm their own entry route on the official immigration pages before flying. Treat the card as one step on your checklist, not a replacement for any other.[3]
Does each family member need their own card?
Yes. Every traveller, including children and infants, receives a separate QR code. One adult can enter the details for the family on the same trip, which saves time. Keep each QR code on your phone as a screenshot in case airport signal is weak.[3]
Should I pay a website to file the card for me?
The official All Indonesia portal is free. Third-party sites may add a fee that you do not need to pay, so type the official address yourself rather than following an advert. Our fake-site guide shows the warning signs to check.[3]
